Laurie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business Management from SUNY at Plattsburgh, Plattsburgh, New York. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Florida. Immediately prior to establishing Laurie A. Sloat, C.P.A., P.A., Laurie was employed by the law firm of Grant, Fridkin, Pearson, Athan & Crown, P.A. in Naples, Florida in the Trusts and Estates Department.

Laurie’s expertise includes, but is not limited to, providing personal financial and accounting services; working and interacting with other professionals, such as trust and estate attorneys, bankers, investment advisors, Certified Public Accountants, and insurance agents; managing and accounting for cash flow; compiling financial data for income and gift tax return preparation; and preparing personal income tax returns. These services are intended to help clients maintain their desired lifestyle and financial independence.

Laurie and her husband, Steve, reside in Estero, Florida. They have two sons, Steven and Christopher.  Her hobbies include offshore fishing, scuba diving, and enjoying her six dogs.  As a past passion, Laurie coached competitive youth soccer for several years and was Treasurer for the San Carlos Park Scorpion Soccer Club.
